The PNC has been hard at work for the past 10 months in an effort to discern God's will for Shallowford and search for the right candidate to lead us into the future. The first four months were spent putting our MIF (the church's resume) together and getting it posted on the web page. ​Since January, we have been interviewing candidates. We have reviewed around 45 PIFs (the candidate's resume), done 15 phone interviews, and 5 Skype or face to face interviews. It is a process that, at times, can seem long and difficult.  We want to make sure we prayerfully consider each candidate and select the person that will help us grow and thrive. We have lost several candidates to other calls, as apparently, there are many candidates for few positions, so when they are offered a call, they seem to accept it quickly.
 
Currently, we have three very promising candidates, two that we have done several phone/Skype interviews with and one that we will be interviewing soon. We hope that by August we will be ready to take two of these candidates to the next level. So, we feel like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
 
One thing the members of the PNC can all agree on is that it has been a pleasure doing these interviews and being able to share all of the wonderful things about Shallowford and the special gifts that our members have to offer.
